Tip #15 “Airport Attire: The Classy Yet Comfortable Traveler”
Understandably, when traveling you want to be very comfortable. However, that does not mean that you should travel in your gym clothes, yoga outfits and running sneakers. That is a major fashion no-no!
Flying with numerous connecting flights or experiencing delays may undoubtedly pro-long reaching your final destination. However, what this means is that you may be in contact with thousands of travelers just like yourself. Therefore, you never know who you may meet along the way. Always look your best, no matter where you are or how long your trip will be. In other words, travel with the two C’s in mind. They are “classy” and “comfortable,” and this is how you do it!
Ladies, trade in the over-sized pullover sweaters for a cardigan sweater with the matching camisole. You can accessorize this look with a beautiful scarf to cover your neck and wear round studded earrings or pearls. The dangling earrings may start to be uncomfortable depending on the length of your trip. To complete your overall look, you can wear a nice pair of dark jeans or leggings. I recommend this because dark bottoms are very slimming. Flat shoes are preferable, but I must admit, occasionally, I wear my heels. For your face, apply a very light foundation, with blush and mascara to fulfil a basic look.
Men, I am not letting you off the hook! Trade in the sweatpants, for khakis or dark jeans with a crease in the middle. Unless you are a teenager, wearing t-shirts with designs or writings on it is a big no-no. Substitute it with a plain or plaid-ed shirt with a collar or a fitted pullover sweater. A pair of comfortable shoes looks a whole lot nicer than wearing sneakers. Accessorize with a watch and now your set to go!
Before heading out, take one last look in the mirror because you look great! Your airport attire is classy, comfortable, and suitable for your next trip!
