The Macy’s Flower Show: Herald Square, New York
The Macy’s Flower Show was one of the most beautifully decorated indoor events located on Herald Square, New York. The Spring season welcomed and celebrated with a variety of floral arrangements throughout the first floor of this major department store. This year, the theme was “America the Beautiful.” Some of the most stunning natural beauties, features America’s landscapes, mountains, and the wilderness.
As I entered into Macy’s, countless people were clicking away at their cameras taking pictures of all the eye-popping floral designs. All of the highlighted regions had creative names such as “The Enchanting Southeast,” “The Majestic Rocky Mountains”, “The Midwest Fruited Plains,” “The Vast Southwest” and “The Shining Northeast Seas.” Each section was distinguished by the signs and flowers that grow in those regions to share with onlookers what Spring is like there. That was very cute and unique.
As a bonus, the Macy’s Flower Show also had a variety of gardens. Some of them were the “Girl Scouts of the United States of America’s Art in the Outdoors Garden,” “The Royal Caribbean Art in the Oasis Garden, “Sinclair’s Dino Discovery Garden,” “Krazy Glue’s Fixer Garden,” and “Nespresso Garden.”
Although, all of the gardens were nice. I particularly enjoyed the flowers decoratively placed throughout the first floor. It was a great addition because as I drew near them, their scent permeated the air. People, who were shopping while enjoying the show also agreed that it was eye-catching and it made them hang out in Macy’s a bit longer.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Macy’s Flower Show. The pictures for this post reflects some of my favorite floral arrangements. Enjoy!
